Contemporary art gallery "Bazar't" invites (you) to the exhibition "FAMILY DAY". We invite you to Daga Viduleja painting exhibition "FAMILY DAY", which will take place in the Bazar't art gallery on the second floor of TC "Mols". The artwork will be viewable starting from February 1 until February 31 every day from 10:00 to 9:00.
EXHIBITION The name of the exhibition is the theme of the title painting "FAMILY DAY". Every year, the participants of the 1924 Winter Festival return to Cathedral Square for one month. In Riga, angels turn the time machine back. And by the cathedral's Christmas tree, on the New Year's Market, the whole square is embodied with fairy-tale characters from the "golden age" of the Latvian free state. Peace and joy reign in Riga.
All residents of Riga who come to the Market transform themselves into their childhood "I" standing beside the Christmas tree. Everyone's heart lights up with a festive mood and the smell of candles and tangerines, which makes those around them smile. Peace on earth, joy to the humans and good will to the angels.
TASK FOR THE ARTWORK The primary mission is to provoke the viewer into a dialogue, leading them through catharsis. That is why those phenomena in society, which are shrouded in mystery and cause fear, are hyperbolized. Hoping that the viewer can be inspired by the warning art about individual responsibility. And a ray of love will blossom in the conscience, which in turn can warm something frozen. Making you love all living things and your neighbor as yourself. Words as a medium of communication have been devalued in the public space due to lies, so the paintings are thought over for a long time by making countless sketches until it is possible to encode a socially active message in the language of art.
