About the author
Fourmi (Sandrine Robert) lives and works in Bordeaux.
Since childhood, I have developed a great interest in creative work, colors
and materials. Later, I studied graphic design, which led me to pick up brushes again and join the Fine Arts of Bordeaux for 4 years.
I created “imaginary walls” from materials , textures, street posters,
various papers, photos, inks, bleach, recycling… I collect them, pick them up here and there, and give them a new life by featuring them in refined compositions.
My concept and style of painting which I call: “IMAGINARY WALLS” is an urban, rebellious art where styles mix and where influences wander.
The final is a tangle of colors, emotions and different techniques.
My paintings are living spaces which invent a world which attempts to take
the spectator into a certain reverie!
At the same time, I am an independent graphic designer / illustrator / screen printer registered with the artists' house.
Artistic approach:
Creation of abstract paintings, such as urban abstraction , which are mixed with collages of letters, images, signs, traces, imprints. Working with the material using the mixed technique of emulsion.
Collage and take-off…
A work of construction and deconstruction!
A creative way to spend a artistic message through a few posters stolen from the street but also mishandled by the street, which the artist's gaze was able to transform into a work of art.
The canvas is a " wall", my art is urban. A support for expression, freedom, impulses without rules or constraints.
At the same time, I create digital illustrations. It is from travel photos, drawings, textures and brushes that the process begins. The time comes for play, construction, manipulation, superposition, assembly and then balance. As the research progresses, the images transform.
After analysis, I determine whether the story should stop or continue, this is a very delicate step.039 p>
