Roberto Re è nato il 17/09/1967 a Casaltone, piccolo paese della bassa parmense.
Il suo carattere artistico è emerso fin dall’età infantile esprimendo la sua vena artistica su ogni supporto a portata di pennello, dai bidoni del latte ai muri di casa.
La perdita del padre, a sei anni ha segnato di amarezza e rancore la sua vita di adolescente, la pittura la poesia e il calcio sono state le sue valvole di sfogo.
Si è diplomato all’I.T.I.S. Leonardo da Vinci, lavora come progettista tecnico di schemi elettrici.
La passione per la pittura lo ha accompagnato fin dalla gioventù in misura tutt’altro che marginale, prepotente come un bisogno fisiologico, è da sempre parte integrante della sua personalità.
I suoi dipinti Roberto li definisce “intensi momenti di vita”, sono frutto di una esplosione interna di sentimenti esternando sensazioni che imprime sulle tele, trasformandole in opere d’arte d’astratto tecnico ed estremo, per l’artista la pittura, i colori e le pennellate devono esprimere i sentimenti e non riprodurre una realtà materiale e statica.
Nei quadri di Roberto Re il processo dalla realtà all’astrazione è strutturato con forza da un disegno marcato e organico o variamente modulato, da questa metamorfosi emerge quasi drammaticamente la relazione tra energia vitale e astrazione razionale dando nuova vita ai soggetti dipinti.
