La puisette africaine traditionnelle, encore utilisée de nos jours dans les villages africains, sert de base à la création de Abou Sidibé. La puisette, réalisée avec de la chambre à air de camion, exprime la problématique environnementale de l'eau commune à tous les peuples du monde. L'autre problématique mise en exergue par Abou Sidibé est celle des déchets qui nous est commune également. Ces objets divers, collectés en Afrique et en Europe à l'occasion des séjours de l'artiste, constituent la deuxième base de création. Ils sont solidement cousus sur le seau. Cette sculpture peut être suspendue. Le socle en acier est fourni avec la sculpture. Dimensions de la puisette seule Hauteur avec cerceau 56cm Largeur 26cm Profondeur 30cm Poids 3kg.

Abou Sidibé, a contemporary sculptor, is an artist whose work serves as a bridge between the rich tapestry of African tradition and the dynamic, ever-changing modern world. Born in 1977 in Abidjan, he embarked on his artistic journey by studying at the Beaux Arts in Bingerville, where the foundations of his craft were laid. However, it was his move to Ouagadougou that marked a significant turning point in his artistic evolution.

In Ouagadougou, Abou Sidibé found himself in a new environment that offered fresh sources of inspiration. Embracing this change wholeheartedly, he departed from the confines of overly academic art, venturing into a realm of greater inventiveness and daring creativity. His artistic exploration found a nurturing home in the Olorun Foundation, where his journey towards a more vibrant, contemporary universe took shape.

Abou Sidibé's artistic journey has taken him beyond borders, with several exhibitions held abroad, including a notable showcase in Colombia. In addition to presenting his works, Abou also shares his knowledge and passion through sculpture lessons, enriching the artistic community with his expertise.

While Abou's roots remain deeply anchored in his African culture, it is his unique assembly of materials that demonstrates his true modernity. His sculptures incorporate a diverse array of elements, such as keys, inner tubes, nails, and cans, symbolizing the contrasts inherent in Africa - a continent in constant oscillation between its rich traditions and the pull of modernity.
