PaulA, who are you?

Painter, sculptor, visual artist... probably a bit of all that while remaining myself, a jack of all trades who captures the moment .

From the beginning, there has been a distancing from official art to adopt singular art which corresponds to a contemporary artistic movement expressing itself through techniques and unusual materials. Mine is aluminum/composite. Light, rot-proof, resistant, it allows me all the fantasies, including that of going outside the framework, going out of the boxes... and being able to create what characterizes me today: the ARC. Hanging - Relief - Colors.

1- Hanging because all my works are assembled by screwing and for a large part of them, can be removable from their support. While keeping the original work, I can make it evolve by removing its frame, its background, its form. It's interchangeability!

2- The relief because by playing with the different thicknesses, we bring the painting to life by giving it depth and a 3D effect. It is also and above all creating a play of shadows with the subjects while increasing the intensity of the colors. Throughout the day, the painting will molt by stretching or retracting under the effect of lighting, whether natural or artificial.

3 - Colors because colors are LIFE! Transmission of a way of seeing our existence, colors allow us to become adults without becoming old.

It sparkles, it It's joyful, and it's HAPPY!

There you go, PaulA is all that!

It's also the diminutive of PAUL Alain. I happily play the tendentious feminine/masculine role because painting is aimed at humanity and it doesn't matter who is hiding behind a pseudonym, the important thing is to succeed in transmitting emotions... which made this choice of signature an obvious complementarity between us.
