My artistic practice revolves around giving life to artworks by utilising recycled magazines that would otherwise be discarded and thrown away. This practice is particularly relevant in a society that is only now coming to terms with sustainability of the planet for future generations.
This theme of giving a new life and purpose to objects that were once unwanted and unnecessary is relevant to me and my work , and complies with my vision of transforming everyday objects into artworks that invite the viewer to see beyond its original source.
Crepuscolo is a wall sculpture made up with folded and manipulated paper. The intricately folded paper has been transformed into colourful textural sculptural work of art

Alberto Fusco is an internationally sold and exhibited London-based artist. Born in Naples, Italy. To further pursue his passion for figurative art – and, in particular, sculpture - Fusco relocated in 1994 to London where he expanded his artistic study and practice, earning a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Roehampton University with a specialization in the art of mosaics.
At present, Fusco’s practice revolves around giving life to artworks by utilizing recycled paper magazines that would otherwise be discarded. The theme of giving new purpose to unwanted objects is central to Fusco and his work. He feels his role as an artist is to be an ambassador for the environment and to encourage others to reuse, reduce and recycle for a better future.
Fusco is fascinated by the process of creating unique, three-dimensional decorative forms, which materialize from flat sheets of paper. His works are created by meticulously folding and manipulating magazine pages, transforming them into material geometric shapes, which eventually develop into sculptural pieces in their own right.
