Hello, art community, and welcome, I guess… I should tell a story about my person and how I got into making  art… I’ll try. This will be a very private short story.

The history of mental illness in my family reaches back to my great-grandmother from my mothers side, although there is not much known about her anymore, except that she’s been pretty „strange“ in her late adult years. Now I write my own chapater in this history, for about ten years now. This is a heavy, emotional, overwhelming, sometimes lonely, sad, but also exciting and unexpected journey. In this journey I had to learn how to trust (first of all myself, while my body and mind „betrayed“ me), to find the beauty around me again, and open my heart to lovely people (the most difficult part, so far). One day, I found „coincidentally“ into art through my therapy… and stayed there. That’s all, and as much as I can tell about the „why“.

My art helps me to deal with less pleasant times in my life, to find the strength to master day after day. I don’t know if the art I create will please you or not, but I hope, you find a piece you like… I’m probably to shy to show myself at work, but who knowes, maybe one day I’ll be able to do this.

So, last but not least: one cannot question art. You can tell, if the art you see touches you or maybe you don’t like very much what you see. But remember: every piece of art in my gallery (and the others, too) is a fragment of a story, an expression of my soul, an emotion. Those don’t have to be nice or pleasant. But they are, first of all, genuine.

In love
