The artist, who was born in Vienna, moved from high school at the age of 15, where she was already supported by the painter Peter Pichl, to the HBLVA for the textile industry in order to complete the higher department for design and fashion.
After graduating, she attended Prof. Josef Mikl's life drawing course at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, but then decided to study acting at the Krauss Drama School in Vienna. At the same time she also attended seminars for art history and theater studies at the University of Vienna. After the children were born, painting became more and more dominant - the encounter with the art theorist Prof. Heimo Kuchling had a decisive influence on the young artist - under his wing, Carmen Wagner developed a very personal visual language. The willingness to experiment and consciously push back against styles is a typical characteristic of this artist. In 2018, with the benevolent support of director Hubert " Hubsi" Kramar the theater group "the theater kitchen" and has since then also worked in the area of ​​stage design and costume design.
