A late autumn scene of the Long Island Sound with tall grasses scorched by the sun swaying back and forth in the warm breeze. Nature is starting to go into its dormant stage. The bright colors faded, the grass and flowers dried up but yet the bright blue-green reflection off the water was effervescent that day.  I wanted to capture the quiet feeling[...]

I am a lover of nature, constantly inspired by what I see.  Whether with my floral compositions, landscapes, or abstracts, I transpose my perceptions of the beautiful colors, shapes, and movements that nature shares with us onto the canvas extending beyond the mere visual interpretation. 

I never sketch out my work beforehand. I pick up my brush and work directly from my memory. My current work is mostly acrylic on canvases. All of the pieces can be printed on paper, wood, acrylic, metal, or the original of course. 

I work with a variety of different media such as acrylic, pastel, collage, and oil. I spent over 35 years in Manhattan and moved back to my birth country of Switzerland 10 years ago. My works are in a variety of museums, private and public art collections, storefronts like Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, and have shown in many galleries in Europe and the US.
