I've always loved drawing but I didn't know I had talent. I was always attracted to people's faces and especially their eyes 👀
And out of curiosity, I tried drawing an eye 4 years ago. It wasn't good but I wasn't proud of it 😅 it made me want to train even more. I started drawing portraits and little by little my portraits became prettier.
I work using the 'free hand' technique. This means that I don't use any measurements. I only draw by looking at the reference.
I love making portraits because when I draw people's features, they tell me their stories and their experiences. Each wrinkle tells me a moment of joy, or that of sadness... they tell me their dreams and their worst nightmares... their hopes and their disappointments. I see the smiles and tears hidden in the lines of their faces. I see their truth in their expressions which cannot be hidden during the process.
After all these moments that I live with the characters in my portraits, I feel connected with them. My soul and theirs become one. There is no longer an artist and the paper on which he draws his character, but only a spirit floating in the drawing world.
