Jean Jam is a contemporary French graffiti artist. He encountered Hip-Hop culture as a teenager and was immediately drawn to graffiti because of its expressive but also banned approach at the time. With the goal of growing graffiti culture in their city, he formed the Pictav'Art association and “Under Pressure” festival, with his pals.
The artist had been searching for a clear and effective aesthetic identity for a long time. Then came the concept of Color Your Life, a global, straightforward, and upbeat message. He rejects it using various techniques and supports while maintaining a clear graphic identity that combines writing and color, evoking the origins of graffiti.
Jean Jam was Born in 1977, in Poitiers, France.
