It is a universal truth that a biological and spiritual relationship exists between all things in humanity and nature, and that it remains a constant in our collective physical and metaphysical realities. Its a familial connection to the universe, and in this painting I have offered Mother Nature as my muse for referencing our inner-connectivity. She represents an ideal, a bold ascension, our spirit and strength as we seek to conquer higher forms of consciousness amidst a daily flood on digital information that dumbs down our reality. She is my Godiva on the Horse causing non-believers to agree and acquiesce, to open eyes and begin to understand. Its a big ask, but I am making it for the sake of us as humans and for the sake of our planet itself. If we do not respect these connections we will lose our planet and our place in this universe.

To Michigan artist Jon Parlangeli there is no other path but to constantly ask and then answer questions via different modalities within his medium. This leads to new explorative bodies of work offering differing styles, genres, or techniques that satiate his curiosity for the real and the abstract. Parlangeli uses both nature and figure as his muse often jostling between them during studio sessions in an effort to solve internal conundrums exposed during session. Standing over such processes is his artistic signature, color. Born partially color blind, Parlangeli uses color as his weapon of indelicacy often pushing beyond subtle yet achieving a cosmopolitan of sublime.

Parlangeli has placed works within corporate and private collections throughout the US, Europe, Asia and the Middle East and his works have been shown in the US and internationally.
