My name is José Rivera, an artist from Guatemala. My creative journey was born from the depths of personal struggle and darkness. At a time when I battled depression, I sought a way to translate my emotions into a tangible form, a visual language that could speak when words fell short. This quest led me to discover that even in the darkest moments, there is an innate need for color, a desire to illuminate the shadows. Thus, my canvases burst forth with an explosion of hues, and their reaction to ultraviolet light serves as a testament: in darkness, one can always shine.
