Dmitriy Kochergin is a confirmed professional photographer. He specializes in black and white landscape photography. In his works, he explores the relationship between man and nature, ecology, the region's industrial and post-industrial history, and the natural and social landscapes of the Urals.

His primary creative subjects are inextricably linked to his Little Motherland. The Ural is the site of global human intervention in the surrounding space in an attempt to reconstruct it for their own purposes. Where magnificent nature coexists with ecologically degraded areas and a plethora of industrial structures.

Dmitriy Kochergin was born, raised, and currently resides in Chelyabinsk (Russia). Graduated from South Ural State University, Department of Economics, and from the photo school "Dokdok" course "Experiences of modern photography". Repeated finalist and winner of Russian and international competitions, including Natural World Photography Competition, Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers, 2019 or the Science Photographer of the Year, Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, 2021. He has exhibited in numerous exhibitions throughout the world, and his work is included in numerous private and public collections, including the Ruskii Museum and the South Ural State Museum of History.
