The history of the Gorgon is interesting. She was a beautiful but not immortal girl, she played pranks and received a punishment. Maksym is a contemporary Ukrainian artist. He engages in stylistic self-realization using various materials and techniques. His figurative and portrait works represent a profound exploration of the human form. In search of a new way to depict sculptures, he aims to interpret the subtle emotions infused by sculptures and bring stones to life in his drawings. The majority of his work involves manipulating graphite, pastels, paints, and gold leaf in an attempt to find a new way of portraying what has already been created.

In his abstractions, the artist dissects the puzzle of emotions, color, and forms, transferring onto paper the entire cascade of thought images arising from the horrors and joys of this world.

Marsym's primary materials are graphite and pastels, but the artist also experiments extensively with acrylic, ink, and foil.
