María José Piñas is a Spanish artist who creates paper sculptures using the cartapesta method, which, being a very old technique, has managed to develop a completely new way of working with it, serving as a basis for her work and giving rise to unique works, full of of movement and color.
Throughout his artistic career he has experimented with all types of papers, constantly perfecting his technique, which consists of molding by overlapping pieces of paper joined with glue.
Her works are characterized by recreating the feminine world with a naive style, full of freshness and naturalness, each figure seems to have stories to tell both for its vividness and for the infinite details with which they are made.
