The pangolin is a very special animal that is rather unknown for most people.
If you know it then mostly not for their cute looks but for their use in traditional Chinese medicine and the resulting illegal trade. The pangolin is still one of the most illegally traded animals in the world.

The pangolin is a very special animal that is rather unknown for most people.
If you know it then mostly not for their cute looks but for their use in traditional Chinese medicine and the resulting illegal trade. The pangolin is still one of the most illegally traded animals in the world.
Most recently it made headlines as supposedly transmitter and originator of the corona virus and triggered a lively discussion about how to deal with animal markets in China. With my sculpture from a drink package that is very popular in Asia, I wanted to draw attention to the pangolin.
