Nor-Eddine Zerouali, photographer, painter, sculptor and copyist, settled in Brussels in 2003. His passion for art led him to explore several artistic disciplines, including dance. As a dancer he posed for renowned painters such as Mac Avoy, portrait painter and teacher to Bernard Buffet and others in Paris. It was through this experience that he discovered the world of painting as an autodidact.
Nor-Eddine studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode and at the Brussels Academy. In his paintings and drawings, he mainly explores the shapes and colors of nature, as well as their effects, in colorful compositions oscillating between figuration and disintegration. Each composition is meticulously staged, with varied objects, shapes and elements that balance each other out in a search for harmony or chromatic contrasts. Everyday objects, faces, insects and plants become actors in his silent universe, imbued with surreal or realistic overtones.
The aggregation and disintegration of molten materials are the common thread of Nor-Eddine's creations. Her artistic work explores textures, materials and transformation processes.
Nor-Eddine Zerouali has exhibited both individually and collectively in various municipal and private galleries internationally. His work has been featured in landmark exhibitions, accompanied by media articles that have contributed to his artistic recognition. Moreover, he is referenced in the "Le Piron" dictionary of Belgian painters, testifying to his importance in the artistic landscape.
Nor-Eddine Zerouali continues to explore new artistic paths, nurturing his passion for creation and seeking to express his unique vision of the world through his photographs, paintings, sculptures and copyists. His work, imbued with originality and sensitivity, is a testimony to his commitment to art and his constant exploration of new forms of expression.
