The aviator hero? (2023) Sculpture by Peter Bly

My images are an attempt to show you what I see. By looking at something I become intrigued, an idea comes along, a message..... looking then becomes seeing.

I have been fascinated by sculpting from an early age. What material is it? How long have you been working on something like that? Does it often fail? How do you start something like that? I started it, and yes it often fails, but it is a passion so.....

I have been making sculptures for over thirty years, started with ceramics, then switched to stone and for about five years only welded steel sculptures. I have developed my own process for this.

I worked in various studios together with other sculptors who wanted to share their experiences with others, and I learned a lot here.
