Madame nasce dal personale desiderio di evidenziare la bellezza attraverso il colore.
La curiosità mi ha indotta a cercare di attualizzare una tecnica antica ormai dimenticata e ad approfondire l'uso di materie prime totalmente naturali come la cera d'api, la pece greca, la pura seta.

Madame nasce dal personale desiderio di evidenziare la bellezza attraverso il colore.
La curiosità mi ha indotta a cercare di attualizzare una tecnica antica ormai dimenticata e ad approfondire l'uso di materie prime totalmente naturali come la cera d'api, la pece greca, la pura seta.
La tecnica è quella utilizzata dall'artista Marianna Elmo, vissuta a Lecce nel 1700: broderie à fils collés (ricamo-pittura a filo incollato e olio su cartone).
Madame nasce dal personale desiderio di evidenziare la bellezza attraverso il colore.

Artista contemporanea.
Rosa Maria Protopapa nasce a Gagliano del Capo, estremo lembo della provincia di Lecce, nell’estate del 1956. Sin da giovanissima la sua passione è per le arti visive. Incomincia la sua carriera artistica con la scultura, arte in cui si cimenta sperimentando con la pietra leccese. Col passare del tempo e con le esperienze accumulate si lascia maggiormente andare, cedendo al fascino eterno dell’arte del dipingere e dello scrivere. Trova la sua essenza nella pittura e nello scrivere proprie riflessioni e stati d’animo. Le sue opere sono state esposte in diversi Stati europei, ma anche in Svizzera, Russia, Egitto, Canada e Stati Uniti, dove è stata accolta dal pubblico e dalla critica con vari premi e con pubblicazioni su giornali d’arte.
Ogni individuo ha un anima artistica.
