The average human being finds it helpful to free himself from his impressions by “pouring out his heart” to someone. Like a sponge, the soul saturates itself; like a sponge, it must be squeezed dry before it can fill itself up again. But now and then it happens that the soul cannot rid itself of its impressions. Such persons, we say, are soul-sick and we recognise those who suffer from soul-sickness by the fact that they sedulously shun new impressions. Every disease of the soul rests ultimately upon a secret.
Children exhibit in clear and unmistakable ways the reactions of their elders. In the presence of a secret they behave exactly as the normal person ought to behave. They cannot keep it to themselves.

Samuel Olutimileyin Taiwo, a contemporary Nigerian artist, embarked on his artistic journey at a young age, driven by a profound passion for drawing, painting, and sculptural pieces. He received vocational training at Talents Arts Kingdom under the guidance of Mr. Oyebola O.J. from 2011 to 2016, where he laid the foundation for his artistic skills.

Furthering his education, Taiwo obtained a bachelor's degree in Education Management from Ecole Superieure De Commerce Et D'administration Des Entreprises Du Benin (ESCAE UNIVERSITY BENIN REPUBLIC) in 2019. During his academic years, he honed his skills in realistic painting at Image Art Studio (Now Olokun Studio) under the mentorship of Mr. Saheed Adelakun for five months.

Taiwo's artwork is distinguished by its captivating blend of vibrant realism and a powerful social message. His paintings feature meticulous attention to detail, particularly evident in his realistic portrayals of subjects. What sets his work apart is his innovative use of color patches to signify vitiligo, a condition affecting skin pigmentation. Through these patches, he skillfully communicates the uniqueness and beauty of vitiligo, challenging conventional beauty standards.

His distinctive artworks have garnered admiration from collectors both locally and internationally. Taiwo's ability to fuse artistic talent with a profound message resonates with art enthusiasts, making his work a valuable addition to collections worldwide. His art serves as a powerful advocate for raising awareness about vitiligo and promoting a more inclusive definition of beauty.

In 2023, Taiwo's artistic journey reached a significant milestone when he participated in The Life In My City Art Festival and was recognized as one of the Top 100 selected artists, further solidifying his place in the contemporary art scene.
