"I wanted to create cute, joyful still lifes. In the paintings I focused on composition, color and texture. Objects are drawn in a simplified manner, using local colors. This allows you to show their permanent properties, without special lighting. I approach paintings not with the standards of nature, but from the position that a painting is, first of all, paints, so I worked with impasto strokes. This made it possible to combine objects. Although in a still life the objects are motionless, I introduce dynamics thanks to the position of the observer, the curvilinearity of the forms and the different directions of the strokes, which are clearly visible as I applied them".
