Urszula Despet is a contemporary Polish ceramist. She has been working with ceramics since 1991 and since 2007, together with her husband Grzegorz, runs a ceramics studio in Krakow. They are making one-of-a-kind handmade products, decorations, sculptures, and figurines, specializing in animals including horses, bulls, birds, and rhinoceroses. Each piece is handmade, painted with colored glazes, and has elements made of glazed golden bronze. Then, they are either burned using traditional Japanese Raku processes or at a temperature of 1100 degrees Celsius. Artists participate in a variety of ceramic festivals; their creations are admired in Poland and abroad and are included in TV commercials, TV shows, and movie decorations.
